Anticipatory life cycle analysis framework for sustainable management of end-of-life crystalline silicon photovoltaic panels

In this research, a framework for performing Anticipatory Life Cycle Analysis (a-LCA) has been developed to identify the sustainable end of life (EoL) management option crystalline silicon photovoltaic (PV) panels. a-LCA can be used stimulate proactive and decision making emerging technologies through stakeholder participation. stakeholders related EoL PV panels participated survey prioritize economic, environmental, social indicators management. Several strategies like bulk material recycling (centralized decentralized), high value recycling, landfilling were chosen assessed prioritised sustainability indicators. The then ranked multi-criteria analysis tool their level sustainability. High (close 100% recovery) was identified as most followed by that recover only major constituents, such aluminium, glass, e-waste. Landfilling remained least preferred option, although it currently an economic advantage over other options, highlighting need shift user preferences. is iterative applied makers different in future.
